Summer Campus Crime May-June 2015
Marcel Allen Guidry, Jr., 53, was arrested for bicycle theft on May 19. The witness said she observed a suspicious person, who placed a bicycle on a bicycle rack, appear to cut a lock and ride off on another bicycle. Sgt. Thad Efferson located and arrested Guidry after an investigation.
On May 19, Kevin Willis, 40, was arrested for the charge of obscenity. Officers received information that the obscenity took place at the Student Union on April 30.
A disturbance was reported at 12:42 a.m. on May 25 at the area of Tulane Avenue and Taft Street in reference to a verbal altercation. Daveon Finley, 19, was booked in Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for possession of marijuana, possession in a school zone violation and possession of a drug paraphernalia.
On June 11 that the reporter of the complaint had been assaulted on a trip to Costa Rica during a study abroad program on May 11. The complainant also reported harassing telephone calls from the suspect involved in the assault.
Breaking and Entering
A disturbance was reported at 1:35 a.m. on June 14 at Cajun Village. Tenants of apartment 151-H said two individuals broke into the apartment.
