Camouflaged men rob Freetown home, two blocks away from campus
Two men donned in camouflage and armed with hunting rifles, broke into and robbed one Freetown resident after pepper-spraying him in his home Tuesday night.
Just two blocks away from campus at the 300 block of McKinley Street, the robbers broke the back door window to enter the house at approximately 8:52 p.m. After pepper-spraying the resident, the two struck him before stealing his wallet, Cpl. Paul Mouton, a police spokesman for the Lafayette City Police, said. The robbers then fled the area.
Police are urging the public to come forward if they have any information regarding the crime.
