SGA approves budget, rounds up canned goods
The Student Government Association passed its 2015-2016 budget on Monday, as well as made plans for homecoming.
The budget allots $79,289.25 to the executive budget, which is staff member salary. The total college fund for individuals was allotted $6,005. The total college fund for organizations received $12,010.50, and the total college funds for projects received $18,000.
The general fund was allotted $3,000, and the committee budget received $1,800.
Following the budget’s approval, SGA president Kirsten Allen said SGA will review 19 amendments during the next meeting. Those asking for money, however, will speak to the finance committee instead of the senate.
This Thursday, Sept. 24, is SGA’s collection drive for Animal Aid. According to vice president Annie Briley, the drive will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the SGA office in the student union and Animal Aid will have dogs there.
