Disturbing the Peace
An Edith Garland Dupré Library employee said her ex-boyfriend was harassing her and her co-workers on Oct. 7. The ex-boyfriend allegedly showed up at the library and made unwanted calls to the woman. Police officers contacted him and he agreed to no longer contact the woman.
A woman, living at 518 Robert Lee Circle with her husband, said she saw her neighbor taking pictures of her and saw shadows of a person by her window. Police officers responded but did not question the suspect.
Lost / Found Property
A social security card, birth certificate, Cajun Card and Louisiana identification card was reported missing after a University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student lost a wallet in the Conference Center on Oct. 7.
A male student complained that after gaining access to his email and social media accounts, his ex-girlfriend had posted on social media pretending to be him and had changed his passwords on the online accounts. The female was contacted and instructed by a police officer to come to the police department, where she gave the male student the new passwords for the accounts.
A Honda EU2000 gas powered generator, $1,000, was stolen while tailgating in Cajun Field on Oct. 10.
A blue, green and white Kryptonics longboard, estimated price $40, was stolen from the Student Union on Oct. 6.
A man carrying a camouflage rifle bag allegedly stole a waffle, $6.49, from the Hilton Garden Inn on Oct. 5. An employee said that a man walked from off of the street, made a waffle and continued out the door even after an employee told him he must pay for the food. Police officers were unable to locate the suspect.
A Bear Kodiak Compound Bow, approximately $479, was stolen from a bronze 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe parked at Cajun Field on Oct. 8. The bow was reported missing to the National Crime Identification Center.
Eight cases of beer, a white 94 quart igloo ice chest, a blue 48 quart igloo ice chest and a blue 24 quart igloo ice chest were stolen from the back of a pickup truck in at the Hilton Garden Inn on Oct. 7.
A UL student allegedly threatened to “knock out” another student after approaching him at 200 E. Lewis St. on Oct. 6. The suspect was brought to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Police Department where he was served a temporary restraining order.
