Disturbing the Peace
A student was talking on her phone near a classroom of students who were taking a test in Doucet Hall on Nov. 5. The student was reported to police officers who then referred her to Student Life and Conduct.
A University of Louisiana at Lafayette student was struck by a white 2013 Buick Verona on Nov. 3 while he was walking across Johnston Street at the Saint Mary intersection. The individual was not transported to the hospital.
Possession of Marijuana
Dan Truong, 18, was arrested on a misdemeanor summons after suspected marijuana was found in his Bonin Hall dorm room. Truong was then transported to Lafayette General Medical Center for shortness of breath. All residents were referred to Student Life and Conduct.
A Ralph Lauren black leather wallet, $115 in cash, a social security card, a military identification card, a driver’s license and a debit card were stolen from a white 2008 Dodge Charger parked near Griffin Hall on Nov. 3.
A car charger and $85 was stolen from a white Chevrolet trailblazer parked in the Olivier Parking Tower on Nov. 1 after the student left the doors of the car unlocked.
Simple Criminal Damage to Property
A UL Lafayette student was reported to student life and conduct on Nov. 6 after he drove through a parking arm in Stokes Parking Tower after it allegedly malfunctioned.
On Nov. 4, a group of people reported that a suspicious person lunged at them while on the corner of Smith Street and East Saint Mary Boulevard and then immediately left the area.
A juvenile was caught walking through the parking lot of Bittle Hall with two bicycles. The bicycles were logged into property and the juvenile was released.
A red-and-silver Schwinn bicycle was stolen from the back porch of The Red Zone on East Lewis Street on Nov. 2.
A blue Schwinn sports bicycle, secured by a cable lock, was stolen from the first floor of the Thibodeaux building of Legacy Park Apartments on Nov. 2.
