Campus crime reports Feb. 21 – March 1
During a foot patrol in Olivier Parking Tower around 8 p.m., officers discovered two individuals smoking what they suspected to be marijuana inside one of the stairwells. One of the individuals fled the scene when confronted, while the other was interviewed by officers.
An individual reported that he had witnessed a male harassing a female the previous night. The individual stated that they had been harassed by the same individual. Officers conducted an investigation.
Officers contacted a student in regards to a restraining order at Bittle Hall around 5 p.m. The student was instructed to speak to the court officer that issued the restraining order and officers collected statements.
A vehicle was burglarized near Gate 3 at Cajun Field. The stolen property included DNA swabs, a bottle of strawberry lemonade and $750 cash.
A non-student injured himself at Cajun Field around 3:40 p.m. The man cut his finger while cooking food for a barbecue.
Tabitha Brister-Lee was issued a misdemeanor summons for careless operation of a vehicle after she was involved in a hit and run accident.
A student discovered and turned in a set of keys that belonged to the university.
Officers received a complaint of a vehicle that had been burglarized. It was reported that $15 in coins was stolen.
An officer observed an individual walking on the sidewalk near the intersection of West Congress Street and Cajundome Boulevard wearing a paper hospital suit around 11 p.m. The officer met with suspect and conducted an interview.
