Campus crime reports March 20-March 27
Officers responded to a report of a wallet stolen from the common area in a dorm in Huger Hall. The white and black wallet was said to contain $70 cash, a debit card, an Air Force military ID and an Oklahoma driver’s license.
Crystal Castille, 28, of Lafayette, was arrested for public intoxication. Officers had received a report of a woman who appeared to be drunk in the Parker Hall gravel around 3 p.m.
A student refused to leave a professor’s office in Girard Hall around 10:40 a.m. Officers were called and referred the student to Student Rights and Responsibilities.
Around 9:07 a.m., an employee slipped on spilled coffee and injured his or her leg. The employee was transported to a local hospital.
Officers responded to a call from a person who reported hearing what they believed to be a gunshot. After an investigation, police determined the noise had come from vent machines outside of the person’s window.
Harold Philippi, 19, of Metairie, was issued a misdemeanor summons after fleeing from the police. Philippi fled after the officers responded to a noise complaint in the Rose Garden to address a possible alcohol violation. The officers recovered a bottle of whiskey from the scene as well.
A verbal dispute between a male and female was reported on the second floor of the Roy building in Legacy Park at 3:50 a.m. The female subject left the area and “peace was restored,” according to the initial report.
A black baseball cap was discovered at the crosswalk of East Saint Mary Boulevard and Hebrard Boulevard. The owner has yet to be determined and the property has been logged.
