Campus crime reports March 27-April 2
Bradley Woodworth, 18, of Lafayette, received a misdemeanor summons for marijuana possession around 2:20 p.m. Officers were patrolling near Bridgeway Apartments when they saw Woodworth’s vehicle. The officers recovered a small pill bottle containing a “green leafy substance” and a small pipe.
Around 9:20 p.m., officers received a report of a rape on campus. The victim denied an interview and a report was generated regarding the case.
A parking boot was reported stolen from the Legacy Park Apartments. Several minutes after the report, the boot was returned to parking and transit.
Officers were dispatched to Baker Hall around 3:42 p.m. in response to a theft. A black lock box was stolen that contained $3,000 in cash.
Police arrested Wallace Westbrook, 44, of Bogalusa, after he was located in the courtyard of the Student Union around 10:50 a.m. Westbrook was reported to be carrying a blue suitcase with miscellaneous items and had been previously banned from campus.
A student was injured in the Burke-Hawthorne Hall theater when he was using a pocket knife while attempting to remove a label from a soda bottle.
A man attended an event in Angelle Hall and discovered his vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of Zone 15. The truck contained a Yeti Ice Chest, an HP Laptop, a DVD player, a car seat and an electric power drill.
Officers responded to a report of a fight that had occurred at Huger Hall around 8:50 p.m. A victim told officers that she was attacked by a group of females, one of whom had borrowed the victim’s calculator and allegedly refused to return it. The case is still under investigation.
Two students were arrested when they were caught smoking marijuana in their dorm. Jacquelyn Phillips, 18, of Dequincy, and Cassidy Gravos, 19, of Vacherie, were released on misdemeanor summons and evidence was collected from the scene.
